under the sea

i created a clutch out of plastic vinyl stitched with coral thread. i loved that the vinyl material could allow the bag to be filled with anything. even liquids. somehow i came to the conclusion that i wanted to filled the clutch with live goldfish. so, i went to petco and got five new friends for the perfect way to document the clutches unlimited possibilities.

face off

last week i took a portrait painting class where we had quite the unusual assignment. we were given partners, and both started to paint each other's right eye. then we were told to trade canvases. and had to paint each others left eye. this went on until we had completely painted half and half of each other's face. not only were we combining our facial features, but meshing together our painting styles. the end result of the collaboration was well worth it.

i bought a disposable camera at urban outfitters which adds effects on top of your film. i love bringing cameras like these to concerts and parties because you never know what you'll get.  ironically, one photo which was raining confetti ended up as the same photo of me with my raincoat hood up. sometimes they turn out of strangers at a concert instead of your friend who took your camera, and sometimes you forget to turn on the flash and end up with a silhouette.

sometimes when i get bored, i end up on drawing on whatever is around. sometimes it includes magazine covers. the original covers are on the right to show the transformation.

empire state

I took this long exposure photo from the top of the empire state building last fall. this summer i'm spending the month of july in new york city to take a fashion design course at parsons school of design and i'm counting down the days.
